Bullocks Horn Cottage Bed and Breakfast provides a great base for exploring many different National Trust properties.

Dyrham Park

A beautiful 17th century house close to Bath. Situated in 270 acres of parkland with its large herd of fallow deer which have been in the park since 1620. Fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.

Lacock Village & Abbey

Lacock Village is a popular film location – due to its unspoilt half timbered and stone houses. It been featured in some of the Harry Potter films, Emma and Pride & Prejudice amongst others.

The Abbey was founded in 1232 and has a fine medieval cloister. The Fox Talbot museum commemorates Will Fox Talbot the inventor of photographic negatives.

The Courts

A fabulous garden with lovely herbaceous borders and topiary. There are also water features and an arboretum. A garden full of variety and well worth a visit.

Tyntesfield

A Victorian house with a fascinating history. Previously belonging to the Gibbs family who made a fortune from importing bird manure (guano) from South America – the house is full of treasures virtually untouched from the time the Gibbs family left. The garden is very special at all times of the year with its extensive views over the surrounding countryside.

Buscot Park

The house and garden are managed by Lord Faringdon and his family. There is an extensive art collection and statuary. The house is open on three weekdays during the summer months.

Lodge Park

A gracious seventeenth century house set within its own extensive deerpark – part of the Sherborne Park Estate

Stourhead

The house was built in the early eighteenth century in the Palladian style and contains a fantastic library and works of art by Reynolds, Canaletto and Poussin to name a few. The garden created in the eighteenth century is world famous for its magnificent landscape set within 2600 acres and for its classical temples and large lake.
